2018 Row del Sol Masters Rowing Camp,

Tampa, FL Jan. 28- Feb. 2, 2018

Camp will be held at The Stewards Foundation (www.rowtampa.com) on the Bypass Canal in Tampa, FL and be limited to 12 masters (plus one coxswain) who are competent rowers. At the Regatta Central registration, you can sign up for an eight or a quad. Depends on the availability of coxswains, we will consider also training in a four.

The Bypass Canal is a body of water with no motorboat traffic and it has a buoyed course.

The venue is around 3 mi away from the hotel, transportation will be provided.

There will be two rows each day at 7:30am and 11:30am, Monday through Friday. Coaches will videotape and discuss technique daily. Ergs can be used to refine skills. Camp will end with participants racing each other.

While lunch and dinner will be at rowers’ expense, coaches will be available for and encourage group dinners.

We decided to stay in a Hotel of the Marriott group closer to our rowing event.

A block of rooms at a special rate of $129 plus tax per night from Jan 28 to Feb 2 is reserved at the Sheraton Tampa Brandon Hotel, 10221 Princess Palm Ave, Tampa, FL. 33610, phone 813-623-6363. Rate is guaranteed for additional nights too. Please make your reservation by Jan.7th to get our rate.

The hotel provides transportation up to 5mi radius.

Rowers must make their own reservations, please mention “Row del Sol” (Masters Rowing Camp with Stewards Foundation).

Sunday night, January 28 at 6pm, we will start our “Meet and Greet” with pizza, beer and wine in the hotel lobby.
